Happy Kite is a number of international kiteboarding schools located in some of the best windy spots in the world. Since its first center in 2008, we are operating all year round in Dahab, Egypt, from May to September in Kos, Greece and on the Azov sea in Russia. And during winter time, in Mui-Ne, Vietnam.
At every Happy Kite location, you will meet our Pro-Team, have access to brand new equipment and enjoy different riding level spots in ideal wind forecasts. So you can surely enjoy your vacation and improve your riding skills any time of the year!
We follow IKO standards, focusing on your safety and independent riding skills, during and after the courses. The longstanding experience of our instructors allows us to teach students of different age, physical state and riding skills, from beginner up to pro-level. Each school uses RRD equipment, a renowned Italian brand.
Our mission is to share our kitesurfing passion with you and help you discover the best spots all over the world, in a fun, safe and professional way!
The actual data is taken from the most popular forecast website www.windguru.cz. Wind speed is measured in knots/sec or meters/sec (as here). For example 20 knots = 10 meters. Minimum wind speed to make a kite fly is 6-7 meters/sec of a big size such as 11-13 meters. At the speed more than 35 knots we do not recommend to test the weather and go kiting or teaching at such wind conditions.
Gusts line shows how the stable wind changes into gusty and at what speed. The gusts of few knots will not make a big difference during your session.
Water temperature may help you to choose the right wetsuit thickness. Like at 22-24 C degrees we use 3 or 5 mm long wetsuit for the comfortable few hours session.
Also, mind the time of high/low tides that have 4 sets during the day (2 - low and 2 high) and 6 hours set of each. You can always ask the time of the min/max tides at Happy Kite desk (every day it moves 1 hour frontwards). And remember! We do not recommend to go kiting at a low tide time for your own safety!
